Each project is different. For every project we spend time with our clients to get a full understanding of what they are looking to achieve by instructing us.
Whether we are advising clients on moving into new jurisdictions by team/firm acquisitions or individual partner
hires - we always get a full briefing from our client. We like to:
Understand the financial parameters to work by; |
The types of personalities that will fit into their current structure; |
The time frames for progression for the more junior hires; |
The reasons behind why our clients are looking; and |
Any other useful facts before we start approaching the market. |
Once we have this understanding, our in-house research team starts the research. We prepare a
long-list/target list of individuals/firms/companies and present this to our client before our approach begins.
These meetings prove to be very useful, as our clients will:
Let us know of any previous conversations with individuals/firms/companies |
Often ask us to concentrate on certain individuals/firms/companies or in some cases ask us to avoid. |
We also advise our clients on the time frame of the research and the approach. |
Our fee structure:
Our standard fee structure is very straight forward, we have a two stage fee structure:
A retainer, which is 10% of projected total remuneration, and |
A completion fee of 30%, less the original retainer. |
- Our overall fee is 30% of total remuneration.
We have a separate fee structure for advising firms on mergers & team acquisitions, which we can discuss privately
with you.
Most of our competitors do not openly discuss their fee structure, but this is where we are different – we are
transparent and very confident on what we can deliver. We feel that our testimonials are proof of this. |
